FISH ALARM

Fish alarms, or bite alarms, are electronic or mechanical devices that attach to fishing rods to alert anglers to fish bites via sound and light, crucial for night or multi-rod fishing. They detect line movement using sensors (roller wheels or piezo vibration) and often feature adjustable volume, tone, and sensitivity to filter out wind or wave interference.

Key Features and Types

·         Electronic Bite Alarms: These are the most common, featuring a speaker and LED lights that flash when a fish takes the bait. They are often sold as sets with a wireless receiver, allowing you to hear bites from a distance, such as in a tent.

·         Sensitivity Settings: High-end models have sensitivity controls that differentiate between small movements and actual, consistent takes, reducing false alerts in rough water.

·         Mechanical Indicators (Bells): Simple, inexpensive, and highly effective for night fishing, these are clip-on bells that ring when the rod shakes.

·         Durability:  long-term use.

·         Installation: Most alarms clip or screw securely onto the rod or a rod holder, ensuring they do not fall off during a hard cast.

·         Carp Fishing: Essential for sitting away from rods or fishing at night.

·         Night Fishing: LED lights provide visual cues when you cannot see your rod tip.
