DO METER

A DO (Dissolved Oxygen) meter is a scientific device used to measure the amount of gaseous oxygen dissolved in a liquid, typically water. These devices are essential for assessing water quality and supporting aquatic life.

Common Uses & Applications

Aquaculture: Monitoring fish tanks and shrimp ponds to ensure oxygen levels remain within the 5 to 12 mg/L sweet spot needed to prevent fish stress.

How They Work

DO meters use a specialized probe to measure oxygen either electrochemically (using a Clark electrode) or optically.
